3D Cone Beam Digital CT Scanner
Our practice utilizes state-of-the-art, small volume cone-beam CT (computed tomography) technology that provides highly accurate, 3-D radiographic images for better diagnosis, and treatment planning of endodontic disease. This allows three-dimensional visualization of teeth, bone, sinuses and surrounding structures with minimal radiation to the patient, enabling a level of anatomical accuracy and patient care not possible with 2-D technologies (regular dental x-rays). With the addition of cone-beam CT technology to our office, our practice is committed to providing innovative, high-quality, patient care.
Northeast Endodontics & Laser Therapy carefully chooses which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own naked eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities, abnormalities associated with hard tissues (teeth and bone), determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone associated with oral cavity.
Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Northeast Endodontics & Laser Therapy utilizes Digital Imaging Technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 90 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs.
Digital Radiography is dental imaging of the tooth with a significantly less radiation and offers more precision since we view the image on a computer monitor. Digital radiography results in 1/16th the radiation exposure to you.
The digital imaging is for capturing intra-oral images or recordings during consultation and or treatment procedure for precise documentation and further educational and comparative studies with the patient and referring dentist.
The introduction of the surgical microscope has revolutionized the field of Endodontic Microsurgery. We have invested in the very best quality surgical microscopes by Leica, that provide unparalleled magnification and illumination for our surgical and routine treatment procedures. Our success depends on us being able to see the minutest of details – you cannot treat what you cannot see.
We believe that laser-assisted endodontics is an important new innovation which we have integrated lasers into all aspects of our care, including endodontic laser assisted irrigation as well as microsurgery using most Advanced Er-YAG and Nd-YAG Fotona LightWalker Dual Wave Laser System for soft and hard tissue management, and Photobiomodulation in Pain Control and faster healing process. Studies have shown that Laser Disinfection can eliminate up to 99.8% of bacteria from root canal systems. We also use Diode Laser for soft tissue management and treatment in our office when indicated.
As part of additional auxiliary services we also offer NIGHTLASE procedure, using soft tissue laser therapy for SNORING TREATMENT which is considered to be a non-ablative, free anesthetic, and non-invasive out-patient procedure with no downtime for the right clinical candidate.
